Warm-Up:

PRAY:

“God, I know I have offended You with my wayward heart. To forgive me, it cost You something to absorb the pain my offense caused You. You sacrificed Your justice in order to move toward me with forgiveness. Help me sacrifice too. Help me lay down my pride so I move toward You with confession and repentance. I don’t want to cover up anymore! When I am quiet and thoughtful, I know that without sacrifice there is no redemption, no reconciliation. Soften my heart and bring new life to my relationship with You!”

Round 1:

read genesis 3:8-10; Genesis 3:21 and psalm 47. Underline/highlight what stands out to you.

Round 2:

Set a timer for 5 minutes:

Minute 1: Make a list of 2 things you are covering up or hiding from god.

minute 2-3: make a list of 10 positive things that are happening in your life right now.

Minute 4: Bring the things you are hiding to God and surrender them to Him.

Minute 5: Thank Him for His sacrifice and the positive things in your life.

Burn Out:

Lately, we’ve heard a lot about “essential” employees. Let’s redeem this a bit. Make a list of people who have encouraged you over the past week—no less than 3. Text them and let them know they are essential! Maybe your text could look something like: “Hey, with all this talk about who is “essential” and who isn’t, just wanted you to know you’re essential to me! Thanks for being awesome.” Do whatever works for you!
