Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” —Matthew 4:5-6

Warm-Up:

Pray:

“God, the struggle is real! I come before you today with a lot on my mind and heart. I need You to bring Your peace to me and calm my worries. I need You to lower the level of anxiety I am feeling. I need You to cast my fears away from me. The chains of worry, anxiety and fear are broken in Jesus’ name. You are with me so I will fear no evil. I am not alone!”

Round 1:

Read Psalm 23. Underline what stands out to you.

Round 2:

Make three lists in your journal:

  1. Title list 1 “Worries.” Make a list of what you are worried about today.

  2. Title list 2 “Anxiety.” Make a list of what might be causing you to be anxious today.

  3. Title list 3 “Fears.” Make a list of the fears you have today.

It’s okay if some things make it onto all three lists!

Round 3:

Set a timer for 1 minute. Look over your lists and underline the top three things that are troubling you the most. Pray today’s “warm-Up” prayer again and be specific about the things on your lists.

Burn Out:

Call or text someone who lives alone. Encourage them. Let them know they are not alone. Ask them if they need anything. Be the hands and heart of Jesus. It could change their whole perspective.

All this week:
