Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” —Matthew 4:5-6

Warm-Up:

Pray:

“God, the struggle is real! Help me be selective in what I allow my mind to dwell on. Today, I will be faced with vast amounts of information about my world. Help me navigate to the truth and not be overwhelmed with hearsay or conjecture. You are the Way, the Truth and the Life. Holy Spirit, fill me today and give me insight into what is true.”

Write this down:

“I refuse to base my decisions on faulty statistics, fads, fantasies, fake news, false reports, fears or feelings.”

Round 1:

Read:

Proverbs 13:16 - All who are prudent act with knowledge, but fools expose their folly.

Proverbs 14:8 - The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception.

Proverbs 14:15 - The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps.

Proverbs 18:2 - Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.

Proverbs 18:13 - To answer before listening—that is folly and shame.

Proverbs 23:23 - Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction and insight as well.

Write out the Proverb that stands out to you most.

Round 2:

Make a list in your journal:

What information is bouncing around in your head that might not be true or beneficial?

Round 3:

Set a timer for 1 minute. Look over your list and ask God to reveal truth to your heart. Ask him to bring freedom from any untruth you are believing.

Burn Out:

Did you call or text someone yesterday? If not, do it today. Your challenge for today is to donate food to a food pantry or family in need. Call your church to see if they know where you can donate. If nothing else, Google it!
