Warm-Up:

Read matthew 4:5-6:

Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

Round 1:

[Review] Our 40 days of Lent have a three-fold purpose - write them out!

  1. To consistently think about your need for a Savior

  2. To daily turn away from the wrong things in your life (actions, thoughts, beliefs)

  3. To confidently trust that Jesus has conquered sin and death

Round 2:

This is week 3 of Lent–our theme is “The Struggle is Real”:

Write out the definition of STRUGGLE:

Struggle: a determined effort under difficulties.

Round 3:

Write down a list of things you are struggling with today.

Burn Out:

Pray:

“God, the struggle is real! You see my list. I’m at a loss for words. I need You now more than ever. I pray for Your wisdom to fill my mind. I pray for Your peace to rule my heart. I pray for Your direction to guide my decisions. Humility happens in me but suffering happens to me. You allow it for a reason. Why? Give me insight. You didn’t exempt Your own Son from suffering. You get it. You were glorified through the sacrifice Jesus made. May Your name be glorified through my struggle even when I don’t completely understand.”
