Day 6: Pray Different
Today, the rounds work together to form a prayer to God. Take a moment to prepare your heart. Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. When you feel ready, open your eyes and just talk to God, like a friend—because He is near.
Optional: Play this song as you pray through today’s workout.
Warm-Up:
My God:
Lord, the God of heaven, You are the great and awesome God. You keep Your covenant of love with those who love You and keep Your commandments. I am counted among that number! And even when I don’t measure up, may your ears hear me and your eyes be open to my prayers. Help me maintain a position of prayer both day and night. I lift up my life, my family, my friends, my community, my country and my world to You. May Your will be done in these areas of my life.
Write down three words that describe God.
Round 1:
My confession
I confess that I am not perfect. I’ve fallen short in so many areas of my life. I need Your help. I need a Savior. I have acted very wickedly toward You without fully comprehending what You did for me on the cross. I have not obeyed the commands and message of Jesus very well.
Write down any areas where you need God’s forgiveness in your life.
Round 2:
My CONFIDENCE:
I remember the promises You fulfilled through Jesus and my confidence cannot be shaken. The truth is that if I continue to run my life on my own terms, I will be scattered and lost. But if I return to You and surrender my life to You as my Lord, I will be saved. I believe in You. I put my confident trust in You. My heart is now Your home. Fill me with Your Spirit. Please pick up the pieces of my life and put them together through the power of the Holy Spirit working in me.
Write down specific areas where you need the power of the Holy Spirit to move in Your life.
Round 3:
My Identity:
I am Your child and a willing servant in Your kingdom. Thank you for redeeming me through Your strong hand and Your perfect plan. I am free. I am forgiven. I am worthy. I am a treasure. Lord, let Your ears hear my prayer. I am learning how to worship You in Spirit and Truth. I am learning how to walk in the power of the Spirit and the clarity of a sound mind.
Write down aspects of your true identity in Christ.
Burn Out:
My Request:
Expand my influence, give me favor, bless the work of my hands and protect me from danger all my days. Accomplish Your purposes in my life as You lead me. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable and pleasing to You, my Rock and my Redeemer. I yield to You today and trust You to guide me in every moment no matter what life throws at me.
Day 7 & 8 Heads Up:
Day 7 and Day 8 are planned “Active Recovery” days. These are days designed into our 52 day journey to give us a chance to catch up on Workouts we may have missed or simply to rest. They are NOT off days—we’ll still make progress!
