Day 32: Outside
WARM UP:
Pray:
“Father, open my eyes to see the source of the opposition in my life. Grant me the insight to know how to stand my ground when I am under attack. Don’t let me become distracted with things that are not the real issue. But guide me to the true source of the pressure. Help me remember that the battle is Yours to fight and Yours to win. I will trust You to deliver me. I will trust You for the victory.”
ROUND 1:
Look back at the areas of opposition you wrote down yesterday for Round 3. Based on that, make a list of “outside” things that are actually creating opposition in your life. This could be people or circumstances.
ROUND 2:
Stand up and read Ephesians 6:10-17.
Round 3:
Look over your list of outside opposition from Round 1. Under the list write this phrase:
Overcoming opposition is not about conquering people or outside circumstances. It’s about me standing my ground wearing the full armor of God.
Cross out any people or circumstances on your list. They are not real opposition!
BURN OUT:
What does Round 3 look like for you in reality? What does it look like for you to wear the full armor of God today? How can this help you overcome the true opposition in your life? Write down what comes to mind. Ask God to make this real in your life today.
Sometime this week:
Spend some time with God to identify your unique core values. Start by answering the following questions:
What stirs up righteous anger inside you?
What brings you the most happiness or joy?
When you look at your past experiences (timeline) what core values do you see revealed in them?
Write down any core values you see in your answers.
