Day 30: Plan
WARM UP:
Pray:
“Lord, Nehemiah was a planner. Rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem was a major project. It’s obvious that he took time to plan his work. Help me plan too. As I read how Nehemiah worked his plan, speak to me about mine.”
ROUND 1:
Read Nehemiah 3.
Underline any names or places that you recognize or anything that stands out to you.
ROUND 2:
Write out this phrase:
Plan your work and work your plan.
Round 3:
Write down some of the steps you want to take to move your mission forward. What do you need to do? What areas do you need to focus on? What connections do you need to make? What can you do today? Prioritize your list. What do you need to do first?
Look back in your journal at Day 20, Round 3. Did you complete the small step you needed to take? If not, start there and get it done. What are you waiting for?
BURN OUT:
Pray:
“God, give me the confidence to move forward today. The mission you have dropped in my heart needs some planning. You know how well I plan so give me insight into the work that needs to be done. Give me the connections I need to start making it happen. I set my plans before you and ask you to clarify the steps I need to take. Solidify my plan and cover it with your blessing. I pray for Your favor in my life and on the work of my hands. Through it all, I trust You to guide and lead me. Give me the courage to move forward. You are with me and for me. Thank you!”
Sometime this week:
Spend some time with God to identify your unique core values. Start by answering the following questions:
What stirs up righteous anger inside you?
What brings you the most happiness or joy?
When you look at your past experiences (timeline) what core values do you see revealed in them?
Write down any core values you see in your answers.
