Day 11: Your Kingdom Come in Our Nation

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Today we continue praying for God’s kingdom to come and will to be done in our nation.

“your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Isaiah 43:5-7 is a solid passage to declare for your city, state, country and Jerusalem. That all people would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ:

Isaiah 43:5-7Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

Warm Up: CITY

write down the name of the city you live in.

Pray that God’s kingdom would come and will would be done in the lives of those who govern and live in your community. Pray for leaders and neighbors by name if possible.

  • Romans 13:1Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

  • Psalm 122:6-9Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.

Pray for a “fourfold” kind of peace:

  • Security from outside attackers (safety from war) (verse 6).

  • Unity and harmony among the residents of Jerusalem (verse 7).

  • Familial wholeness and health (verse 8).

  • Economic, religious, and political prosperity (verse 9).

Burn Out:

level up by fasting:

Choose to give up something “food-related” or a whole meal today.

Do this as a sign from you to God—that you are seeking to see his kingdom and will come to the things above.
