SUNDAYS IN LENT ARE NOT COUNTED IN THE 40 DAYS LEADING UP TO EASTER. INSTEAD, THEY ARE “MINI-EASTERS.” TAKE TIME TO REST, REFLECT AND REJOICE IN THE RESURRECTION WITH JOY AND CELEBRATION IN YOUR HEART.

Morning & evening Prayer

By his resurrection Christ broke apart the gates of death and opened to me the way of life, announced victory to the women and apostles and brought salvation to the whole world, annihilated the power of death and renewed the entire creation, gave me the promise of resurrection so that I might rise with him in new life. I proclaim and affirm that, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, “Death is swallowed up in victory.” And so I cry out: “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ.

From the Westminster Confession of Faith, Chapter 20.1 & 1 Corinthians 15:55-57:

Jesus wins = you win.
