Raising of Lazarus / Hlafira Shcherbak / 2020

SUNDAYS IN LENT ARE NOT COUNTED IN THE 40 DAYS LEADING UP TO EASTER. INSTEAD, THEY ARE “MINI-EASTERS.” TAKE TIME TO REST, REFLECT AND REJOICE IN THE RESURRECTION WITH JOY AND CELEBRATION IN YOUR HEART.

Morning & evening Prayer

Lord Jesus, You were born under the law and perfectly fulfilled it. You endured most grievous torments in Your soul and most painful sufferings in Your body; You were crucified, died, and were buried; You remained under the power of death, yet Your body did not undergo decay; and You arose from the dead on the third day with the same body in which You had suffered. In this body You ascended into heaven, where You sit at the right hand of the Father, making intercession, and You shall return to judge men and angels at the end of the age. You, by Your perfect obedience and sacrifice of Yourself—which You through the eternal Spirit once offered up to God—have fully satisfied the justice of the Father. You purchased not only my reconciliation but also an everlasting inheritance in the kingdom of heaven for all whom the Father has given to You. I am one of them! Thank You, Jesus!
