JESUS ANSWERED HIM, “IT IS ALSO WRITTEN: ‘DO NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’” —MATTHEW 4:7
Warm-Up:
Pray:
“Jesus, all lament leads me to You. My sorrow and pain finds ultimate identification and hope in You. You enjoyed unbroken fellowship with God and then took the full brunt of God’s wrath on the cross. The weight of the world’s guilt was on Your shoulders. You took my sin upon Yourself. You completely understand two of my biggest questions when I am hurting: ‘God, where are You?’ and ‘God, if You love me, then why?’ You endured the cross and secured the one thing I need more than answers…Your presence in my life!”
Round 1:
read 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 and circle/write down/highlight the parts that stand out to you most.
Round 2:
Make a list of what jesus endured on the cross—physically and spiritually.
Round 3:
Listen to this. Worship to this.
Burn Out:
Write out these lyrics. Make them a prayer:
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
With my life laid down, I’m surrendered now, I give You everything
